Walter Schreifels is a NYC hardcore heavyweight, maybe best known for playing guitar for bands like Gorilla Biscuits and Youth of Today, so you wouldn’t expect his latest project to be a fuzzy, 70’s-feel rock band with a barefaced classic sound. But that’s exactly what Dead Heavens is. The group, which also features members from White Zombie and Cults, lays down luscious driving instrumentals with strong vocals lines that are instantly addictive.
