WXPN’s Gotta Hear Song of the Week: “All Nerve” by The Breeders

Alternative rockers The Breeders recently announced details about their first album in ten years, All Nerve, to be released on March 2nd. The band’s classic lineup of Kim and Kelley Deal, Josephine Wiggs and Jim Macpherson return for the new album.

The Breeders were formed in 1989 by Kim Deal of the Pixies and Tanya Donelly of Throwing Muses. Their second album, Last Splash – released in 1993 – included their most popular alternative hits, “Divine Hammer,” and “Cannonball.” Last fall, the band released “Wait In The Car,” signaling a possible full ...

Just Announced: The Breeders return to Philly this fall at Union Transfer

Iconic indie band The Breeders are set to shatter a three year touring hiatus with their long-awaited recent announcement of fall dates. Beginning with gigs in the UK, the Kim Deal-fronted group will make their to Philly with a show at Union Transfer on November 6th.

The band has kept fans eagerly awaiting new material since their 2008 release of Mountain Battles, so hopefully this break back into the scene also means new tunes are approaching.
