The third edition of Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner’s Eaux Claires festival was heavy on collaborations between performers, including Vernon and Dessner themselves. Paul Simon was joined by a classical ensemble, and many artists covered John Prine. Chance the Rapper, Danny Brown, Feist, Perfume Genius, Sylvan Esso, and Francis and the Lights were among others who played the festival.

S Carey Range of LightBon Iver member S. Carey has announced a new solo album, Range of Light, to follow his 2012 Hoyas EP. The album is the first solo record Carey laid down in a studio and it features several contributions from Justin Vernon. The lead single is “Fire-scene,” which you can stream below. The album is due out April 1st via Jagjaguwar.

Two days after the album release, S. Carey will embark on a North American tour that brings him to Philadelphia’s Boot & Saddle on Monday, April 14th. Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday at noon ...
