The punk band Street Eaters, hailing from California, released their latest album Blood:: Muscles:: Bones via Nervous Intent Records on June 17th. In support of their record, they are ready to rock the Lava Zone on Lancaster Avenue in West Philadelphia July 15th.

Blood:: Muscles:: Bones is filled to the brim with a grungy punk sound. Megan Mink on drums and John Mink on bass, shoot out rapid tunes that will keep you moving all night.

Stepdad – Running (Does That Mean You Care?)

Describing themselves as “a popular musical group chiefly appealing to toddlers and speed freaks,” Stepdad are the pinnacle of bright, pitch-perfect, feel-good pop anthems. Their self-released 2011 EP, Ordinaire, conclusively proved that with tracks like “My Leather, My Fur, My Nails” and “Cutie Boots” evoking the feeling of playing Super Mario from the inside out. Their sound fuses 8-bit synths with the falsetto of vocalist ultramark. Call me a toddler-speed-freak, but Ordinaire has become my go-to euphoric-mood album, perfect for a day on the beach or clearing away the clouds of seasonal affective disorder.
