Ride announces new record and quick US tour coming to TLA in July

British shoegazers Ride are coming back, baby. After releasing some fantastic singles including “Home Is A Feeling” last week, the band announced plans to release a new record through Witchita Recordings this summer, as well as a quick little 5-date tour that plans to hit TLA on July 22nd.

RIDE announces East Coast tour dates

The reunited shoegaze veterans of RIDE have announced U.S. tour dates to follow a summer of touring in Europe. Last month, the band played its first show in nearly 20 years and will be playing many more as the year goes on. Andy Bell, Laurence Colbert, Mark Gardener and Steve Queralt will make their way stateside in September for an 11-date East Coast tour. They’ll play in Philly on September 19 at the TLA; tickets will go on sale via Live Nation this Friday at noon.

White Lies – Ride (Lana Del Rey Cover)

White Lies take on Lana Del Rey‘s with their stripped-down cover of her smoldering 2012 hit, “Ride.” The London trio’s metamorphosed take feels far more “indie rock” than the original, sounding quite similar to the Killers’ Hot Fuss (especially during that first minute). Lead singer Harry McVeigh’s baritone here is complimented by a simple bass, keys and xylophone mixture.
