Now, Now smashes 5 year hiatus with poppy track, “SGL” and announces Philly date

It’s been five long years since we’ve heard from indie group, Now, Now, with their release of 2012’s Threads. Now consisting of a duo of members KC Dalager and Brad Hale, the band has broken their hiatus with the perfect poppy indie track, “SGL,” aka Shot-Gun Lover.

Opening with blunt acoustic strums, the tune immediately expands by layering in dreamy vocals and catchy, infectious beats. More people need to listen to Now, Now. Their 2012 album Threads is a phenomenal collection of dreamy indie rock and about as perfect as they come. Those of you who missed out now have a chance to catch up thanks to the Minneapolis outfit’s latest project: Threads Remixed. The upcoming remix collection — out March 25th via TRANS- — features six new takes on select tracks from the LP. The latest to grace our ears is Ansible’s ambient electro-pop version of “School Friends.” Give it a listen below.

I’ve been a fan of Kevin Devine’s ever since I saw him open for Say Anything a little over a year ago, but in that short time his back catalogue has more than impressed me.
