Beloved rock and roller and frontman of iconic heavy metal/punk group Motörhead, Lemmy Kilmister, died at the age of 70 on December 28 just two days after being diagnosed with cancer.

Lemmy, born Ian Fraser Kilmister, after three years as bassist of the early space rock group Hawkwind, formed Motörhead, one of the first major exemplar English heavy metal groups, in 1975. Tuesday night started with a bang as Crobot rocked to a steadily filling Tower Theatre. The Pottsville natives’ performance was full of hair flips and intensity—it was hard to take your eyes off of the rockers as they ripped through their short but sweet set. If this opening band was warming us up for what we had in store, it was pretty apparent that the evening was going to be epic.
