A Return To Genesis: Dilated Peoples Direct Classic Hip Hop

Dilated Peoples return after an eight year lapse between albums with their new endeavor Directors of Photography. The trio, comprised of Evidence, Rakaa Iriscience, and DJ Babu, returned to the studio for a mostly internally produced record about two years ago, after taking time to fly solo and discover themselves as artists. What has arrived is a gritty, grinding collection of analog beats and slightly more revealing lyrics. The sound overall is refined and elevated while remaining true to their definition.
