Vibey Americana outfit Hiss Golden Messenger shared the new track, “Standing in the Doorway” last month, and now he’s one-upping that gift by announcing a fall tour and new album titled, Hallelujah Anyhow — which will be out on September 22nd via Merge Records.

Hallelujah Anyhow will breathe as a hopeful ten-song journey that travels both the light and dark sides to the spectrum of life. Frontman M.C. Taylor offers in a press release:

There’s such a sublime, sultry magnetism to Hiss Golden Messenger‘s “Like A Mirror Loves A Hammer” that a simple video really does the trick. With closeup shots of lead fellow M. C. Taylor and golden-lit undulations by a lady dancer in kaleidoscope duplication, Taylor’s simmering soulfulness and the haunted energy rule the show.
