Thrash pioneers Slayer shook the foundation of the Tower Theater over the weekend, bringing Exodus and Suicidal Tendencies along for the ride. The night was a nostalgic one as all three bands played cuts from their back catalogue with the obligatory newer singles peppered throughout. Slayer was exceptionally captivating. Their pulverizing set jumped from album to album and showcased breakneck riffs that are not only fun to headbang to, but impressive in their technicality. The band closed out the show with a tribute to their fallen comrade Jeff Hanneman, raging through “Angel Of Death” ...
