In the uncertain times we live in, it’s nice to revisit the past.

That’s exactly what I did this past weekend when I saw folk/psychedelic rock artist and countercultural icon Donovan on Thursday and singer extraordinaire Art Garfunkel (one half of the iconic duo Simon & Garfunkel) on Sunday.

After cancelling his show the night before in New Jersey due to illness, Donovan played a strong two-hour set celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Sunshine Superman.” He played an acoustic guitar the entire time while sitting on a rug in his colorful garb – quintessential Donovan. He performed ...

Two music legends will be visiting the Keswick Theatre this week for once-in-a-lifetime shows.

This Thursday, December 1st, 60’s countercultural icon Donovan celebrates the 50th anniversary of his number one hit single “Sunshine Superman.” The single was originally featured on his landmark album of the same name. Donovan played a very influential role in the folk rock scene by incorporating Eastern elements and psychedelic sounds, as well as creating introspective and profound lyrics. His canon of music truly changed the world. He doesn’t tour often these days, so see him while you still can!

Then on Sunday, December 4th, another ...

Happy Halloween, Y'all!

It’s time once again for my most favorite of holidays: Halloween. I hope you’ve all got plans to dress up in all manner of costumes and have a spooky, kooky time all weekend long in celebration of the magic wonderfulness of this particular holiday.

For some reason I’m feeling rather witchy this year, so below is an assortment of witch-centric jams – classics and covers. Enjoy, and happy haunting you dear ghouls and dolls.
