As usual, the Dave Matthews Band will spend the bulk of its summer touring North America. The band has just announced this year’s 47-date trek, which includes two nights at the Susquehanna Bank Center in Camden, New Jersey. As they did last summer, Matthews and co. will be playing two sets for each show. Pre-sale tickets will be made available to members of the band’s fan club this Thursday, January 15. The Susquehanna Bank Center opened its doors in June of 1995 as the Blockbuster-Sony Music Entertainment Center affectionately known by us as the “E-Center” and was later renamed the Tweeter Center at the Waterfront. For those of you who are unfamiliar, the Susquehanna Bank Center is an outdoor amphitheater/indoor theater complex across the Delaware River in Camden, New Jersey.

It’s been slow-going in the new release department for the past month or so, but the new year is in full swing and the first wave of wonderful records has arrived. Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings lead the pack with the excellent Give the People What They Want. Dave Matthews Band has announced a packed summer tour, stopping in Camden, NJ for two nights at the Susquehanna Bank Center on June 13th and 14th. This run of dates is being billed as “A very special evening with Dave Matthews Band,” with the band performing an acoustic set and an electric set each night. Each show will be “A Very Special Evening with Dave Matthews Band” and will feature a full set from the band and an acoustic set with different “configurations featuring the entire band.” The tour will, as usual, include two nights in Camden, NJ at the Susquehanna Bank Center—June 13th and 14th.
