There’s something about Ancient Warfare. Something about the Lexington-based outfit feels familiar, comforting almost. And yet there’s that unexpected quality, as though you never quite know where their songs are going to take you. What you can expect are some gorgeous, smoky vocals and an instantly appealing psych folk sound. Very nice indeed.
